All year Brendan keeps the locals happy with his fabulous baking which is now available at the Barryroe Co Op and Centra in Timoleague. But it's in the Summer that things really hot up in the kitchen when the sun brolly goes up and the table comes out laden with , Brown Breads , hot from the oven , carrot cake , lemon drizzle cake like your granny used make long ago, scones light as feathers and made with full butter , none of your pc skinny lattes served here ! Jams ,Pickles, Chutneys from old page worn recepie books apile the top of the fridge. Thick slices of quiches that the mammies sneak into their beach picnics for when daddy is having " quality time " in the water with the kids . Yes Brendan cooks and cooks and cooks all Summer long and the neighbours are driven to distraction with the aromas and mostly everyone's happy because the world doesn't seem such a bad place to be after all .
